The Four Types of Gamers

1.) Achievers

One of the four types of gamers is achievers. They are the people who play games and story lines to get the prizes in the game and on a particular quest. They play games to get the highest score, like in slither.io, when they hit all the other snakes to become larger and get the most exp. They will also be the people who play games and try to get all of the achievements in them and complete the game to then unlock more content, so extra content is added for players like them.

2.) Explorers

The second kind of gamers is the explorers. They are the people who play games so they can unlock new undiscovered areas and instead of doing things for exp, instead they will look around finding hidden areas and they tend to be the people who find easter eggs in the game and figure out the meanings for things, like why is that there and figure it out and so the people who make the game add in large maps and easter eggs and hidden things for the explorers to find. In Xenoblade chronicles x they have areas with tyrants in, but they are sort of secret areas and you have to go find them and they also have large areas with certain items in them, which you have to explore to find and look around for.

3.) Socializers

The third kind of gamers are socializers. These are the people who will communicate with others online. And when playing a game they are the type of people who will join/or form groups, teams and guilds. They will also do trades with people, being sociable. They will be in guilds mainly to help the others out and fight by their side rather than wanting to get something from it, they do it based on want to be friends with other players. This could be something like a RPG online game, where they get to form guilds.

4.) Killers

The fourth and final kind of gamers are the killers. These are the kind of people who like killing other players and have a lot of dominance over the game. They like causing misery to other players, since they would rather kill them than help them out. Knowing that someone else playing is annoyed and is curing is a thrill for the killer kind. They also get to brag about how many people they killed and they get to annoy people by constantly killing them. They can also be the kind where it's like you have to get through them to do something else, or just like killing other because it shows how good you are. This could be a game like overwatch, in this one you play in teams and you can kill your teammates by accident but in this case on purpose.

I took the Bartle Gamer Psychology Test and got these results:

I would agree with this. This is because when it comes to playing games of all kinds i mainly play so i can get or unlock certain items and i will keep laying the game until either i complete it or if i manage to get the item i want. I also try to get all of the achievements on games and i also play to get the highest score. Examples of these would be, for the trying to unlock certain items and trying to get them would be when i was playing a game called rune factory four and i was trying to get the rare items in it, so i could craft certain items and also because they were rare, like the rune crystals you can get, they are rare and you also use them to make the cooler looking and stronger equipment. I also tried to unlock making a crown and you have to have a high crafting level to do that. So i would say i am mostly and achiever gamer. Another example of this is on the messenger games you can get, i would always try and beat my friends high scores on it and when i did i would move onto the next game. And in minecraft i would try and get all of the achievements in it, whenever they would update it and add more, i would try and get all of the new ones.

I would also agree with the killer kind of gamer being the same percentage as the achiever. This is because my favourite kinds of games are the ones where you get to kill things, such as zombies and monsters. A good example of a game where you kill zombies is left for dead 2 and you have to help each other out in this and if you don't they can die and if you want to you can just leave them. Another game of which you can kill monsters in it is resident evil 6. In this one you can throw flash grenades at the other person which will stop them for a second and if your timing is right and there is a monster coming then you can killer the other player/ the friend you are playing with. Also in left for dead 2 there is a monster which is called the witch and every time i would see it i would shoot the witch, because if you aren't quiet she will attack you anyway but if you died when fighting the witch she would go after your teammates. And i mainly like the fighting aspect in games as long as the mechanics are good.

I do and don't agree with the explorer percentage. This is because i do really like finding out about easter eggs and finding new areas and exploring them but if the map is too big then it puts me off a bit because there's too much and it becomes boring sometimes but if it's like rune factory four then i like exploring it, it's really fun but something like xenoblade chronicles x, isn't as good but the monster designs in it are really good.

I would agree with the socializer one because i would mainly do things solo if i had the option like in left for dead again because you have to work in a team but i tend to go off and look for stuff myself and because of that i get killed but if i have to do something i will do it in a team in a game but otherwise i tend and would like to do it all on my own, it also then feels like you've achieved something without any ones help and makes you feel more independent and like you are skilled in what you are doing, like if you beat everyone's high score and you feel proud.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer: Selling points of the game

One of the selling points of this game is the fact you can ride horses, shown in the screenshot above. This is a selling point be in some games you get the ability to ride horses, depending on its genre and content, this is good for getting people wanting to play it because the horses look pretty real, like you were actually riding them, so it gives you an experience you might not do in real life because you might be afraid of doing it, but playing it in the game is like you are actually doing it. And in this scene they say "Nothing means more to me than this gang" which makes you want to play it more because you get to be apart of something, apart of a gang.

This is another selling point, because in this scene, in the trailer, they have them stealing from a train and then jumping onto a horse, with one of his gang friends there to catch him. This is a selling point because it has action in it and people would find it to be a really cool stunt in real life therefore getting to do it in the game makes it even more exciting because of the action and people like action otherwise they wouldn't have the action genre.

This is also another selling which is the main characters rivals. This is a selling point because you have a story line to go with the game, so it doesn't become boring and it makes it more fun to play and depending on the game play it can make you think strategically and you get to take them down.

This is a selling point becuase it has explosions in it and the graphics are better than the original and since the last game they had it had been a couple of years, getting people who enjoyed the last one hype for it and people like seeing good quality graphics because then it looks like the real world.

This is a selling point because, it shows you other kinds of threats in the game and shows that you have more things you can do in it, and there are some people who like having extra things to do whether they are little thing or big things.

Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice Launch Trailer: Selling Points

One of  Hellblades selling points is it's graphics. This is because the graphics look really realistic and people like it when it looks like the real word because it feels real but you are in a fantasy world which also lets you escapes reality. And people like seeing beautiful different scenery's, like Hellblades scenery's, like this one because of the shades on it make it look pretty.

Another one of Hellblades selling points is the extra danger added in it, so when you fight a boss they might add flames to it like in this scene to add more danger and makes you think more about what you are going to do to win and progress on. And it makes it more exciting because you'll have more things to avoid, which gives you more of a challenge.

Another selling point for Hellblade is it's disturbing images. This attracts people who like the horror genre, because some of the disturbing images can be scary for some. People tend to play games to feel emotions such as feeling scared and to get the feeling of triumph and achievement.

Another selling point for Hellblade is it's story-line. This is because it is mysterious, since at the beginning of the game you are on a boat and you hear people whispering and then you see dead bodies hanging while it says they are watching and it makes you more interested in the story and what will happen next. It's interesting because the lack of information makes the player curious.

One of the other selling points for Hellblade is the designs for the games, including the monsters and scenery. This is because the monsters look disturbing which makes the experience of playing Hellblade creepier since you have to fight them and the way they move makes it scary to watch because if you were to see it in real life it would make you want to run away from it since you wouldn't have the same abilities. And if you are going to play a game, it would have more of an impact if you had better graphics in it and then it would feel more realistic like the experience is happening to you.

Why my pen portrait typical audience member is going to like Hellblade

My pen portrait typical audience member is going to enjoy Hellblade because he enjoys his job and his job is being a psychologist and because the game is based on psychosis which is a mental disorder, where you hear and see things that aren't there and it all seems real, so it could be interesting to experience it specially if you had to see something from there perspective since you would have to actually experience it to understand it so video games can make it close to experiencing it, if they decide to base it on it. They would also enjoy Hellblade because if their favorite game is Devil May Cry then they would enjoy the action in it/ the fighting and because their other favourite game is portal, it would make them enjoy the problem solving since you have to figure out where to place your portals and figure out where to go next in it and in Hellblade you have to figure out where to go so they would have to be patient, which he would be since playing portal involves patience. He would also like it is because it is a fantasy, specifically a dark fantasy and he likes the game of thrones series which is also a fantasy. He would also like the danger aspect in it because once again his favourite game is Devil May Cry which has a lot of danger in it. And there is also action in Hellblade therefore the action in the films he watches like avengers which has action in it. They would also like it because they like playing the PS4 games and they have a PS4 and Hellblade is on the PS4, therefore they would play it.

Aspects of Hellblade that the audience will like

The aspects of Hellblade that the target audience is going to like is the graphics, since they look creepy and can be scary for some. They also like realistic graphics which makes you engage more with the game and escape reality. They also would like the fighting aspect, this is because most famous games are either puzzle or fighting games and the fighting seems quite realistic so people will like playing it more because of the realism. They would also like the puzzles because you have to use your head when you finish a puzzle you feel satisfied and smart afterwards and they can be fun to play, which makes it enjoyable and the game lasts longer since they have to try and figure it out. If they are into gory, then they would be again into the graphics and would like that aspect of the game and if they like celtic things then they would like Senuas design since she is a celtic warrior.

What would influence the target audience to play Hellblade

To find out media products to go and watch or play, sometimes big fans of the consoles like PS and Xbox, they will tell others when they find out and you can find this out on their official websites for those consoles or on different websites which are for games and also you can find out about it from magazines, which show the latest games coming out.
What influences the target audience to play Hellblade is the quality of the graphic and the designs, since the graphics look realistic and the designs are interesting and relate to certain things like celtic warriors which is interesting. Another thing would be the fighting, because if they have good fighting mechanics and the fighting looks good when you play it then it would make you more interested in playing the game and gameplay just so you can get to that certain point in the game that you really liked. The key influences are the graphics and fighting and gameplay and the puzzles and the experience itself, since you play as someone with psychosis which could seem interesting to some people. The puzzles influence the target audience since there are people who like playing puzzles so it influences more people who like playing puzzle games to play it or get more people into puzzle games if they only play for the fighting or storyline.
